I really like the pictures, Mud. Comparing the old picture to today is such a contrast. When it was a thriving business, the roads were mud, there were no sidewalks, and there wasn't a blade of mowed grass in sight. Instead of focusing energy on the outside that produced nothing, society focussed on the business inside that was building our country. Even the wealthiest citizen went to work no faster than a horse, heard the world around them, smelled the air and then worked a long day to make things happen. Today is so different: people pass in cars, sealed in their metal boxes, comfortably removed while insisting everything they pass is manicured.

Encountered this one today, and looked up a comparable street view. These are facing the opposite direction on the street from the previous photos.
