Polish 3 Jaw Scroll Chuck

This chuck was recently acquired at an auction. I am hoping that someone can tell me a little bit about it. As far as I can tell it was made in Poland, measures almost 9.250" in diameter and appears to be in really good condition for its age.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

FPU is the monogram of the company (Fabryka Przyrządów i Uchwytów) that has since taken on the trade name Bison. Your chuck is old, but it was in 1950 that they began making chucks, so the 70 might be a year of manufacture. But the 70 is stamped on both the front and back castings, so it may simply be a mark to keep mating parts together while the chuck is being assembled. I have seen a later version of the monogram.
