Got the Powell planer working and following first (nervous) project roughing a straight edge I´ve mainly worked on workholding for next project which was a lathe bed for a friend. Got a ton of pics and vids I hope to compile to a YT in the future. It went well and wear measured perpendicular to surface went from 0,07 to 0,01. Of course we all known it´s really only the later number that counts.
work distribution was like 70%, 10% planing and 20% fixing and cleaning after.
I´ll continue working on more workholding and cutting tools, as can be seen in pictures I used a 1" square HSS ground to have approx 30 degree shear angle and only little relive and cutting angle near the edge. I´d love to find an armstrong 41 or 42 but I think I just have to make a substitute.

Here is a photo showing simple setup tooling for a planer that has table holes like yours.
Made from hot rolled square stock. The cup point square head screws are hardened.
Old center drills or taps ground to a point on one end were used to "pin" the job to the table.
The other end ground to fit the cup of the square head bolt (screw).
Make some stops that fit in the table slots for alignment of the job.
