Just won this at a local "online" auction. 4 miles from my home, which was a big reason for the bidding. Anyway, picking it up tomorrow. Got to get there early, looks like an important part is on the floor. Don't want that to walk away. No name in the ad and no name visible from the pictures.

$74.27 out the door, including all fees and tax.

Any idea of me maker?

More to come,

Licensed and insured Rigger not required to remove machine from location?

Hahahahahaaha. I live in the sticks. A lady that didn't know how to drive a forklift, with my help put it on my truck..

Rigger... Never met one..

Just sayin.

I’m not sure if yours is one but E.W.Bliss was one company that made this style of press .
A larger one shown here.
Catalogue and price list of presses, drop hammers, shears, dies and special machinery : E.W. Bliss Co : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
You can scroll through the catalogue to look for other examples .
You may find a name cast into it somewhere that is covered with thick paint or behind the electrical box etc.
Jim

Bliss bought out the Stiles Press Company, and continued to make this type of press, although the later one's I've seen are beefier castings, but my guess is it could be an older Stiles press.

Toledo Machine and Tool Co.

Maybe not the maker, but the seller. There is a name cast into the side, but not readable yet, some layers of paint. Have to unload and get a better look.

Could of have this K&T for 26 bucks. Had a brain fart. 4 miles from my home and I know the owner, I pulled her disabled uncle out of his burning house 4 years ago, and she would have gave me some time to get it out. Could have parted it for bunch. Asleep at the wheel, its big...

I did get a bunch of parts for mostly K&T machines, screens, gears, shaft and bearings. And a bunch of nuts and bolts...

Oh, well,

I would have bought that K&T for the angle plates on the bed then resold it to a scrapper for my investment.

I would not have bought that press unless you needed a mailbox holder or a flower pot. That thing has no useful purpose.

Tolledo No 15

Got pictures of the press casting. Tolledo No 15. The niece told me that he (deceased) had taken some things off of it for scrap. So, not sure what that meant, whether original parts or added (late) parts to make functional in the "don't run with scissors" world we live in now. It has a slot punch in it now, but not sure I have the die block or any of that..

Now I know what it is, I will research what its supposed to look like back in the day.

Anyway, still not unloaded, but soon.

This is where we would part ways, I could look at that press all day long, LOL, I love the lines....

No offense..

Getting some of her elegance back.

In the future, the motor and pulley will come off.

Anyone hazard to guess what RPM this would have been run at?

Thanks for looking,
