    Default Richmond Sr2 Radial drill

    Hi Chaps

I’m considering buying one of these and was wondering what the general opinion of them was ? I have only used Asquiths in the past . The urge to buy old machines is infectious!

Not commonly seen anymore. If you have use for them they are great machines. They also make great paper weights.

From the pic, looks similar to my Fosdick Sensitive drill. Worthy machine imho. Mine also functions nicely as a table…

I have a bigger Richmond ,conventional radial....they have a pumped oil supply to the gears ,which is good..........in fact only downside is people look at the base "Midgely and Sutcliffe-Leeds"......and say "OOh Aye.....ee were the Yorkshire Ripper."
