Rivett 1020S Purchase

So, I’ve pulled the trigger on the Rivett 1020S that’s been listed on eBay for a while. It’s the red, white, and blue machine that I imagine some of you have seen. Now I’ve got that sinking feeling wondering if I paid too much and what condition the machine will really be in when it shows up. I guess time will tell.

"Post purchase depression" (PPD) happens to me all the time when I buy something relatively expensive. It doesn't really matter how much it costs as long as you enjoy it right? I paid too much for my Hardinge but it taught me many things about machining and how lathes are made.In the long run the extra $400-500 I spent averaged out to nothing over the time I spent playing with it.

It looks like a damn fine lathe. Hardened steel ways.
