Hello ive just purchased a 72” Rockford planer.
I find it ironic that here in the uk I found a Rockford planer that I would have never of thought made it here but couldnt find a butler for any money.
Im posting as to enquire if theres any publications out there with any tech info and if anyone knows the age

I believe Bourne and Koch in Rockford Illinois have the records and technical drawings you want. A friend received a very nice package of info from them three years ago for a hydraulic Rockford shaper, so hopefully they still have the info.

Nice planer!

Does your machine have a stand alone power unit with an Oilgear variable displacement pump? If your machine is like swatkins machine in the Beast thread he may be able to copy the book.

Do you have any idea what the info from Bourne and Koch cost your friend? A few years ago I was looking for some information and parts for a Sheldon lathe. At that time they weren't very hospitable, and the cost of the parts was outrageous. They wanted over $100.00 for the phenolic gear I wanted. I found a 3D printed one on eBay for about 1/3 the price they were asking.
