I have two centerless grinders in stock-- Herminghausen and Monza

both around 4 hp
20 years ago I powered the Herminghausen and dropped a 1/4 drill rod between wheels --intended diameter reduction
the drill rod was ejected with force of a ramset stud and left indent in corrugated shop siding

have not powered H-hausen since---but plan to :)

so the question is after viewing clip--would you handle parts like this operator?

NO. Then there were many of them. Dang. Our fingers are our tools! Make a fixture or something.

I've done it just like that.It looks scary but properly set up that machine is just like all the rest, waiting for you to fuck up Like any grinding machine it is dangerous if you are not alert and respecting the machine.

Hell no!

Just asking to lose a finger... or hand/arm. :nono:

But I suppose I have done that when polishing things in a chuck (stick my fingers in there)... :leaving:
In my defense, I am much more aware of doing stupid sketchy things as I am getting older and my manual dexterity and eyesight are pooping out....
