Those are the ones, in reading the patent it reminded me I think I have a pair signed by Richardson which made these before Stevens.

Cool !

Same size and form ?

I'm just thinking that a small Outside Bowleg Caliper may be the most common and useful Caliper of all - everyone needs one.

There should be an example of it for every weird Patent.

Other specialized Calipers would only be attempted for very successful Patents.

Do you have a WRIGHT PATENT as the only Patent ? I'm pretty sure I do not.

I have some Wright Patents but not that one and it might be another Wright. I don’t think I have seen one just like the drawing. My recollection is the other Wright pat. was a nut with elongated hole that disengaged it’s thread and the tapered cone set it in place.

Here are some of mine, 6” and 5” inside by Stevens, the 4” by C. F. Richardson.

Love these early spring calipers. I've picked up a number of them over the years.
The Stevens caliper pictured below has a brass, wedge shaped pivot under the adjuster nut, that fits in a notch in the caliper body. The faint Stevens stamp is there, but does not show well in the photo. When would this type have been manufactured? Thanks
