Yes, I have used Timesaver green & Yellow brands and I can verify that they are excellent materials, I first used green timesaver for lapping a deep bore which would under normal circumstances have been a total pain, deep down it had got scuffed for a distance of 3" I made up a lap out of a length of steel and charged it with the green timesaver and gently lapped it in working my way down gently, after I was finished and the timesaver was spent to an inert sludge, I cleaned it out, and the shaft which ran in it ran perfectly cool and smooth, saved a lot of costs ,(Sending out for reboring)
I remember the former agent for Timesaver in the Clyde /Glasgow area, telling me of a former Diesel engine builder who spent ages scraping in the main bearings on a big diesel, They were run off their feet with work, He proposed to the works manager to try Timesaver on bedding in the bearings, and they were frankly sceptical and declined his offer to try this modern stuff, Well he returned to see them a couple of weeks later and they had a real backlog of work, and in desperation they said give us a couple of tins of that yellow stuff, Well on the final shaft fitting they found they more than halved the man hours on the job, When they ran that particular engine on the test bed, it was smooth as silk and its performance was spectacular.
He was asked not too mention to anyone they lapped in a batch of their engines using Timesaver, Six months later, They said "Tell anyone you like our lovely engines are finished to perfection with your product", And their big diesels were a well respected big propulsion motor for shipping.
