Basically a Delta DP220, from the 1940's - Tauco machines were mostly made for the foreign export market, I believe :

i was indeed told the drill press was from the fourties ,surprised it still runs as smooth

I have seen a couple of Tauco drill presses advertised here in NZ, one a floor mount, the other a bench mount. Some differences in these machines.

Interesting to read that they were Delta with another name, see attached "Important Note" dated 1936, from the Vintage Machinery "Tauco" pages.
Strangely enough, until now I thought they were Australian because I had a Aussie-made "Tawco" Ford flathead V8 twin carb manifold. Different spelling....
