Looking hard at moving South soon. Both my flathers lathe will not be going with us. I'd rather sell'em to somone here before dealing with Craiglisters no show a holes.
Bigger one it about 8 foot 3 inches from the face of the chuck to a live center. you could get a few more inches if you hand the tail stock off the end.
Theres a steady rest(non roller type.) a follower rest (bolts to the cross slide) a 18 inch face plate, 3 four jaw chucks, A bunch of change gears. there part of a tapper attachment but don't have the slide but the way and angle setting device is there.
The drive is a 2hp 220v single phase revable motor to a 4 speed drive
all gearbox. Plain bearing non roller head. It's got a back gear and a small
transmistion for the carrage.
In the pic you'll see a small 3 jaw chuck in a large 4 jaw chuck cause
i didn't have a 3 jaw with the right thread. I also have a 6 foot
lathe made by the same MFG but it a latter unit with full inclosed
gear box. I've not had the 6 foot under power at all yet.
