Yeah, that head is similar in overall configuration to the vertical head for the Nichols mill, which is fundamentally a horizontal mill. At some point, you might unbolt it to see if you have a large taper in the spindle. From the vintage, it's more likely to be a large B&S taper than an NMTB taper.
I not sure that's a Horizontal Mill because I don't see any provisions for an Overarm. I could be wrong because the photos are small though the drive spindle seems kinda high to allow for an overarm.
