Vintage lathe identification

Hello, found this forum while trying to identify this lathe for my neighbour. He's auctioning it as part of his father's estate auction and has no details about it and I offered to do some googling. The closest I could find was a Shepard, Lathe & Co. model over at lathes.co.uk. There's no name plate on the lathe or cast identification that I could see. Posting to see if anyone could confirm the make of this thing. We're in Ontario, Canada. Thanks for any help!

And one for sale a few years back in the Denver area

It's a Putnam Machine Co lathe made in Fitchburg MA. Likely 1870s vintage. Jake

Much appreciated Jake! Looks spot on. Tried to post thanks yesterday but reply got moderated out somehow. Maybe for the link to an external site with pictures of another Putnam. Hopefully this one gets through. I do appreciate everyone's quick response.
