Question What brand is this lathe

    Hey,

    New forum member here.
I am looking to getting my own lathe, an have found a second hand one for a decent price.
The owner doesn't know a lot about it, so maybe you guys can help me a bit.

Does anybody know the make and maybe even model of this lathe? I recognise the logo but can't seem to find it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Manu

Its "Made in Taiwan" and may fall under the "No Discussion" caveat of this board.

Milacron (Owner of Forum) at one point gave instructions for "Pacific Rim" entities - I'm not seeing this now.

Not to say that a name cannot be attached which you may find more information elsewhere.

It kind of looks like a British made Boxford. Don't know of a Taiwan maker that copied Boxfords but not impossible to imagine. No idea about quality of this copy. Boxford's themselves were a partial copy, with improvements, of a 10" South Bend. A friend has one- actually quite a nice small lathe.
