Hi I have a xyz pro 2000 mill with x and y motors these are DC and have encoder built in they are causing problems and are quite expensive to replace. I was wondering would it be possible to change these out for newer Ac motors and drives?
These are more readily available and are more reliable. I would also consider running it on mach 3 or something similar any thoughts?
Thanks
Don

King rich is the maker of the machine, proto trak is the maker of the cnc retrofit. They are still in business as southwestern industrial. I'd look em up and ask them, they'll know as best as anyone.:D
