I am posting this for a friend who has a Monarch lathe and is seeking a tailstock.

Model info:
Actual swing 14.5
Manufacturer #24205
Build date: 11 1943
Flame hardened ways

Any help in locating a source would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

You need to know the model of the lathe. There are machine parts dealers that can be found on the web. You will pay alot for this item because a lathe without one is not worth much these days. I would expect a talstock would be $500 and up.DD

r_fl_z, I'd suggest calling Monarch and seeing if they can give you the model number and name, and then calling around to used machinery dealers to see if they have one; at the same time keep watching eBay and see if one's put up there. You'll need more than the swing of the lathe to find a fitting tailstock.

You might also contact Monarch and see if they have the part used. Scott@monarch mentioned the availability of used EE parts, so it might extend to K's or 60/61/62's as well.
