I'm may be confused but it sounds like you have some of your transformers set for 220 and some for 440--pick one or the other--if 440 use a stepup transformer[220 to 440] for input voltage to the lathe--if you choose 220 as your primary input voltage then every transformer in the lathe must be setup for 220--follow Scott's instructions, T6 and T7 must match up to your input voltage--it sounds like your lathe is/was originally 440 and, if you change to 220 input voltage then T6 & T7 will have to be replaced with the 200-250v transformers. My other posting perhaps was not clear but I found it cheaper to keep my machine on 440 and a use a stepup transformer to provide the single phase 440,rather than change the machine to 220 which requires the purchase of T6 & T7 220v transformers--if I recall correctly, T6 & T7 cost about $228 each 5 or 6 years ago--I found a surplus stepup transformer of the recommended size for $50
