Hi

How do you people clean the EDM "dust" off your hands?

When I have to look "Presentable", & have been on the EDM & making/facing electrodes... The only answer I have found is use Clorox to wash my hands in.... I know this is not smart, but nothing else works, that i have found...

Not sure on EDM Grit, but it cleans everything else with ease!

Any of the abrasive citrus based hand cleaners work well for me.

Can't you wear nitrile gloves? They seem to last pretty well, and hold up to washing them with hand cleaner too. I just peel them off when I'm done and leave them "inside out" which helps to dry the sweat off of them. When I'm ready to start up again I turn them mostly "rightside in" and then blow into them to inflate them/pop them into shape before putting them back on.

If you don't rip a hole in them they'll last for a day or two.

B-O-R-A-X-O powdered hand soap. Been using it for more years than I care to remember. Nice stuff. Very few stores have it anymore as it is not "chick", but I have not found anything that beats it and still leaves your skin smooth. I buy it by the case on the net.

And I agree with Metal Doctor, BORAXO is still the best hand soap ever invented.

Use ZEP "Work Day Handcleaner" PROD.#0952...Good cleaner and a low PH level so that no one gets a rash from the soap.
