Anyone have any insight to this machine? I am considering getting an EDM to play with. I have only used the old Elox type. This one has an early nc control that I am unfamiliar with. They say it can do orbiting to cut threads but what else is it capable of?

The Leblond Makino EDNC32 is most likely late '80s to mid '90s production. More current models are Makino only (not LeBlond). This is a fully functional CNC EDM, capable of not only threading (expansion type orbit), but also square, hex, inclined bottom, (even user definable custom orbits) etc. This EDM is a very high quality machine tool, and would be an excellent machine for your needs. The control is most likely the MGC or MGE version, which is quite easy to operate and program through what is called a "model plan". This EDM has a very reliable track record and long service life. An internet search will probably reveal many of these EDNC32s in daily operation.
