None of the Logan pictures or manuals I have seen show this type of carriage clutch. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Thanks

Hi T.W.,

I've owned a couple of Logans and none ever had a clutch lever like the one you have. Looks like someone might have adapted it from another machine (just my thought).

The Logan "automatic apron" has a series of disks in its feed clutch.

Either a rotary motion, produced by the more familiar fluted knob, or a cam action, produced by a lever, shown above, would accomplish the same effect in bringing the two sets of disks into contact.

TW I was at a machinery dealer in Miami to look at a Logan lathe Model 1957 Ser #66469 it had that same type clutch. Do you have any idea what vintage your machine is, and where to find parts , the one for sale was REAL ROUGH. Thanks

You could ask Logan.........

Scott Logan can often find out that sort of thing, and they do sell parts. Might or might not have parts for that odd version.

And some units a re "Powermatic" versions.
