Operation and Maintenance Manual?

The 9A is on the way, so I have to start thinking about maintenance, oiling, operating, etc. Is all of this covered in the South Bend "How to Run a Lathe" book? Do I need a version that goes with my lathe (a 1950-1951 9A) or will the Lindsay reprint of the 1942 edition be OK? Or is there something available from Leblond?

Hi There,

The HTRAL is a good start. It covers SBL's in general but not any specific model. It is a basic lathe operation guide with emphasis on SBL's. I would also get a copy of the 9 and 10K SBL parts list from Lelbond as well as HTRAL.
