Belt length for 10L on pedestal

I got the new motor and switch installed last night. For some strange reason the rotation direction didn't end up the reverse of the switch position...

Tonight I'm fitting the belt and I was wondering what the preferred length is. I have the old belt which I'll probably use as a starting point lacking other information. The new belt is leather with a nylon core, apparently its quite resistant to stretching.

On my 10L pedestal model, the old belt I cut off is 62" long (not counting the splice overlap). I have not compared this to any published numbers though.

My old one is 64" long, alligator clips excluded. It seems a little long. Since I bought 6' of belt, I want to cut it right the first time...

I got the belt on yesterday, looks like most anything between 62" and 64" is OK. The new belt works wonderfully, I can load down the motor quite a bit before the belt starts slipping.
