Half nut adjustment

Hello, is there an adjustment proceedure for the half nuts on a SB10L? Also, what type of lubrication does the threading screw(the one the half nuts engage)use? Is oil enough or should it be greased? Thank you

Hi There,

There is no adjustment for the half-nuts on the Heavy Ten (or any other SBL as far as I know). Always use oil for lubricating the lead screw. Grease will hold chips and the chips will damage and/or accellerate the wear of your screw and nuts. Plus, the chips will get into the apron causing other problems (not good).
