Unit is made by ARC (advanced robotics Corp) out of either columbus or hebron OH. Plannin on adding this to my AC welder and have a few questions. I havent rec. unit yet, but will provide pictures below.
1)anyone ever heard of this company or know where they went?
2) anyone have experience with this or similar unit
3)of course lookin for manual
4) dont see an ac/dc switch on front, but is a HF unit, so would assume would be ok for AC HF, some of the millers i have seen have ac/dc switch which just turns the HF off after arc struck, as opposed to being on all the time, wonderin if I just hook up my AC unit to the + terminal of the HF unit, labeled DC (+)
5) this seems to have some form of pulse control added on to it? or wave control, with dials for amplitude, frequency and scan, along with a dial for base? any helpful hints on how these effect welding for a newbie to tig?
thank you and more questions to come

I notice it has a cannon plug connector and cap on it that says welder. It would be interesting to know whats under it. That could be for a cable with a doz. individual wires for controling this unit from a specific welder or maybe a single power connector. Maybe another member has seen this specific unit.

it is a 14-16 pin connector that did go back to to original OEM welding unit. I cant see the secondary power input plug anywhere, hopefully in back, my worry also is that power to unit runs through control cord. If just control cord then can be run without it, just have to control amp input from welder directly.

hmmm scott, i have studied your unit and i must say i have never seen one like it. i am making a guess that you want to be able to weld aluminum with this? the only draw back is that with a add on hi frequency unit it will let you weld aluminum but it is hard to control heat if you have to stop and adjust the machine. much of the success of welding aluminum is the ability to add or remove heat by controling the machine via a foot pedal.
