TC Pro is where most of expert users of TC "live".
Go to <http://www.imsisoft.com/support/forums.asp>
register and lurk awhile.
In the past they split their forums by the version being used.
There is a group of regulars, many are beta testers, that freely share good info.
TC is a member of the open code something or other.
The cost is low.
IIRC, TC is a 3d program that lets you do 2d if you want to.
I have never used the CAM plugin, but because the program is 3d, I would imagine the cam part just moves the tool over, and follows the model you have "built".
I have no idea how it "stacks up" against the competition, but the regulars there will.
tc cam is prety good for 2 1/2 d milling and 2 axis lathe work post processors are weird because there are none.
all and all a good program feel free to contact me with anny further questions
