Looking for a field service position, want to get back to the road warrior traveling. over 22 years cnc repair, Any help or sugestions greatly appreciated

You should probably list the machines and controllers you are familiar with. A lot of service companies only service specific machines or controllers.

You might check with Methods Machine Tool. Since they sell a lot of machines in your area, they might be looking for a someone to support their Nakamura Tome, Matsuura and Fanuc (Robodrill and EDM) machines out there. You'd probably have to drop into their Sudbury MA facility every now & then, about a 4-1/2 hour ride from Ithaca, but it could be worth it.

If they don't have any opportunities, ask them for contacts at their distributor in NY. That would be:

BTW - I get daily e-mail from Monster.com about openings. Today was a Methods Machine Tools opportunity looking for....service techs. Worth a call!
