EDM Specialist...

We are looking for an all around EDM guy/gal.
The more of the following skills the better.

Set-up, operate, and maintain the following Charmilles WEDM's.
6030 - Charmilles control
240CC - Millennium control
230F & 330F - Fanuc control

Set-up, operate, and maintain the following Ram EDM's.
Charmilles 35P - Charmilles control
Makino EDNC 32 - MGC control
Easco Sparkatron (broken tap/drill removal)

Set-up, operate, and maintain Charmilles SH2-CNC hole popper (Sodick K1C)

Program WEDM's using Esprit 2010 or possibly Gibbs.
4-axis knowledge a MUST!

Quote Ram EDM and WEDM work accurately.

Work within Vantage ERP.

Keep department and jobs compliant to ISO 9001/2008 and AS9100.

Manufacture basic electrodes using department's Bridgeport and grinder and/or explain needs to other departments for complex electrode.

Design/build fixturing needed for both WEDM's and Rams.

Work directly with customers.

Solicit new work.

Work with vendors for best price on consumables and machinery.

Work what ever hours it takes to get the job done.

Computer skills including some Excell and Word...

Am I asking for too much or is it a Cleveland thing again?
No EDM guys out there interested?

I'd say mostly asking too much...might be best to list what you really need then see what other skills applicants may have. Maybe be scaring 'em off when they read all that thinking they HAVE to it all. From what I've seen of laid off EDM guys and gals they won't have anything even close to all of that.

Let me clarify...
The listing above would be the ideal candidate.
Obviously it is important that you are some what versed in EDM.
Can't say as we are really looking for applicants to be just "operators".
We are looking for people who can take a print and get it cut in the machine.
All the other stuff can be taught...
