I was talking to a friend about some soft jaws he just bought for a VF-1. I suggested that we could print them to specific specs rather than purchasing them. Anyone know about the durability of these soft filaments?

Perhaps you can explain a little more about what you're trying to do. There are some soft polymers that can be 3D printed, but most of what we call "soft" would be pretty bad as milling jaws as they'd be too flexible.

X2 on what you are trying to, FDM material can be very strong, strong enough to run in Plastic Injection Machines with a limited number of cycles of course, So i would say depending on what you are cutting the FDM jaws most likely would be strong enough.
