Does anyone have the paint color or code for a 1966 10EE. Mine looks to have been some shade of gray until powers to be decided a brown and beige combo suited their tastes better. I want something close to original.

Thanks.

When those things went into the government they were just machine tool gray (I think 7B) but even if that is a good number I think it is obsolete. NASA has Monarch EE's in "Vista Green" which was a standard option with many machine tool makers.

I have seen them in pure white and I think they were factory paint jobs.

How about this factory paint job?

"Monarch Maroon", as seen in the latest literature, is pretty bad, too.

I'd stick with a medium tool gray, and probably have a specialist paint it using IMRON or another catalyzed coating.

IMRON seems to last a million miles or so on diesel locomotives.

The only real reason to use catalyzed paint is that it hardens faster than conventional enamel but in a couple of months there isn't much difference. So save your money. The next one I paint is going to get industrial latex.
Tough as hell and no killer fumes!!!
