ACU-RITE III DRO Question

Hello all,

I have a late '70s BP 2J with an ACU-RITE III DRO on it.
The issue I'm having is with the X axis readout; it shows exactly half of what the movement is.
The Y axis is spot on.
I found and downloaded the manual for it, but can't seem to figure out what the problem is.

Any suggestions of what to look for are greatly appreciated.

There should be a switch somewhere that changes the X axis from direct read to diameter read. Look at section 2.2.2 in your manual.

Yeah there's a toggle switch on the back that switches between diameter and radius.
I tried that first, no change.
I looked at the dip switch chart too, but there's nothing that 'I' understand in there.

Edit: I did find the x axis dip switch for the external radius/diameter switch and it is on. I tried turning off, but no change.

sounds to me that your scale resolutions is wrong. As if box set to 5um and scale is 10um. Just a thought.

It could be lik Machineblues put with your resolution being incorrect. The other option is that the Acu-Rite III has dip switches and the bottom switch (#10) is another radius/diameter setting. That dipswitch might be the issue.

Yup that was it, thanks guys...

I changed the x axis dip switches so they were the same as the y axis and it works now.
Not sure why the had them set differently.
