    Default Belt drive motor lubrication

I have the old belt drive J-head and on the front it says the motor should be oiled twice a year. From old manuals I have found it says the motor bearings are permanently greased. I don't see any oil cups anywhere on the motor. What should I do?

It sounds like the old manuals retained the lubrication instruction from an earlier design. I have not seen a motor without sealed bearings in a long time.

Do nothing. A old mill has had a long time for a few changes. Like replacement motor bearings on the original motor or a replacement motor. Or are using a pan head motor?

    "on the front it says..."

Is that on a nameplate attached to the head housing?
