Bridgeport Knee Chip Guards

Can anyone let me know if the larger part of the lower knee chip guard goes to the rear or front of knee :confused:

I forgot to mark it when i stripped it down :rolleyes5:

Thanks, thats a better picture than my manual, lookalike the bigger part is the rear.

I see they also fitted thrust bearings to the lead-screws instead of standard ones and a thrust bearing to the knee lift and change the backlash adjust method.

I am in the same situation as the OP so I tried all 4 combinations. The one that gives the most travel is having the larger parts in the front for both the upper and lower. In fact, the length of the front and rear sections of the guard line up very closely with the length of the front and back sections of my knee. Front is about 5 5/8" and rear is about 4 5/8".
