Hoping I’m posting in the right place... The manual says “sold and serviced by Bridgeport” but I don’t see the bridgeport name anywhere on the lathe.
It belongs to a friend and he’s had it for years. He’s never lubricated anything other than the ways.... I do not see any oil in the site glass of the headstock and, as he lets me use it whenever I want to, I’d like to change the oil in the unit. I’m attaching an image of the manual’s recommended oils for each part, but they don’t appear to be modern, or at least they’re nothing I’m familiar with.
Starting with the headstock, what would be an appropriate modern oil I could purchase locally (in Phoenix) and get some oil visible in the headstock reservoir?
