    Default Bridgeport Serial Number Mystery

I'm trying to ID my Bridgeport, and have been through all the various Serial # ID charts with no luck. The number stamped on the knee of my machine is "12/BR 1C5149". I haven't seen a format including a letter (the "C") in any of the charts.

    Any clues?

    Here's the machine: bridgeport2.jpg

    thanks,

Is it possible that the "0" punch at the Bport factory was damaged and making a mark that looks like a "C"? Or is it very clearly a real "C"?
