Discovery 308 with DX32 Control

Does anyone know how the G12/13 helix is supposed to work on the DX32. The first line in the manual is confusing to me it says do a polar move with G0/1 A I J and one letter I forget at the moment. I'm wanting to thread mill larger size holes like 5/8-11 and up. If I didn't have that dang "high performance" spindle motor I'd convert this to LinuxCNC in a heart beat.
