Hey guys im retrofitting my hlv-h and i picked up a nice 12mm c3 ballscrew for x axis so that's shouldn't be a problem my concern is z axis i cant seem to decide on what diameter should be sufficient i found a nice 15mm diameter 5mm pitch screw whats everyones thoughts? Thanks

I think you have to do the calculations with your motor speed and desired Z-axis rapid and feed rates to determine what is needed.

So you are building 1, put the biggest one that will fit. If you don't know how to do the calcs over build it.

It's going to do the same job as your left hand and a lever ( 5" * Pi/ 0.7") ~ 22:1 How strong are you? ;-)
