They are a common preci$ion bearing, but at one time Hardinge had the best price on the matched pair, and they were pre-greased.

I recently purchased bearings for my HXL from Hardinge. Evidently they were the same bearings for an HLV-H and still very reasonably priced.
Hard to believe they are modified by lapping and still that reasonable on the price, so I am not sure if Richard King's comment about lapped ID is correct. I would hate to think about cleaning out the lapping compound on an assembled bearing then charging less for it than off the shelf from a bearing supplier.
