    Default HLV-H lathe needs handwheel/clutch gears replacing

    Hi, I need to replace the train of spur gears driving the carriage against the rack and want to know if they are simply a press fit onto the pinions/clutch shafts and so can be detached with a puller or is this all more problematic? Any comments / suggestions much appreciated.

    The early ones were one piece . The later carriage gear came with a pinned pinion gear (maybe a later repair).

    The pinion gear having a spigot that fits inside the larger carriage gear shaft
