Came across this and the guy knows nothing about it. I don't know enough about them to know by looking, is appears to be a vari speed head, what type spindle

One of their CNC controllers, boss or something like that. The motor is upside down. Most likely an R8 spindle.
I like how he is using the Z axis motor mount as the drum switch mount.

Most of the heads like this I have worked on are NMTB-30 spindle taper.
They do not use a draw bar like the R-8, but have a nut on the spindle mouth to hold the tools in.
