Lyman MK4 Power feed on Bridgeport

Are you left handed???

Looking at my MK7..

You could make an extension, but it would likely back off, if turned in reverse..

The table x axis screw, has just a simple threaded end.. You would need to make a keyed x axis spur drive gear, with a keyed shaft extension (flange mount to gear), as a two piece unit. Pretty simple job..

The gear needs to be locked to shaft with end nut, then flange screwed to gear, with handle extension..

My Production Tool Supply catalog showed an extension handle kit. Fit both MK4 and MK7... part number LD-HCE.

Only problem, it is a 1994 catalog...

Factory extension was just a simple shaft (with hand crank of course), internally threaded 1/2 20, to replace the nut on end of leadscrew.. Nothing to keep it from unscrewing, when LH crank is turned clockwise....
