This may be a silly question which demonstrates my ignorance - so be it. Is there any way to change a MT-2 taper on a M head to R-8? I figure this *might* be possible via either re-grinding or replacing the spindle, but I have no experience here.
The bottom line here is that I'm looking for a head to mount on my Clausing 8520 mill, and the M head was suggested as a good candidate. But I'm kinda set on having a R-8 taper. Might the spindle from the R Head be transplant-able to the M head?
