Looking at radius attachment options, I just don’t have the funds for the version Hardinge made. Looking at other options most seem based on the small import lathes. Anyone have others opinions they use.
While I don't have a specific recommendation for you. I have seen in the past, some radius attachments constructed from boring heads that look promising. But don't know how well they actually perform. A search using a combination of those terms might turn something up that you might consider.
Have you asked Larry Vanice about the price of his unused unit. The only reason I did not buy it is that it would probably just sit here unused even though the price was very fair.
I never tried one, but the Shaplane radius tools might work for some jobs. The new price seems high for what they look like, but you might get a used one on eBay.
