I was planning to put a power feed on the knee of my bridgeport but now im not so sure. Can any one tell me how to figure out the torque of an older model Servo type 90 ? and will it work for a knee ? thanks

The required torque will depend upon the weight of the parts to be lifted, so it varies with the table size, vise, rotary table or whatever fixtures you use. The state of the feed screw, nut and gears and their lubrication, plus the gib adjustment and dovetail lubrication will also be important. The cutting force while boring will probably be too small to matter.

I think the 90 number was the rated torque, maybe in inch- pounds.
