Just about finished restoring my new HLV-H and couldn't figure out why the tailstock would not eject tooling. Come to find out the the previous owner had left out the rear half nut and jam nut!

Hardinge wants ~$300 for the setup so I decided to fabricate it. McMaster had a LH Acme nut that I could start with but I'm a little puzzled as to the thread size. It appears to be a 24 pitch.

I found this photo posted years back by Larry V which is exactly what I need to make.

Does someone know the proper thread size I need to cut?

Thanks.

GM,
The threaded nut portion on my HLV-H measures .935" across the crests of the thread. So 15/16 nominal. And 24 tpi. The jam nut is a thin hex nut (with truncated corners) .190" thick x 1.125" across the flats.
