MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.....
i was starting to really love fusion for simple 3 axis work and 3+2 stuff and how easy it is to use, but goddamnit today pissed me the fuck off.
they pushed an auto update and all my toolpaths that i tweaked and updated on this part i've been working on for awhile reverted to the state they were in a few days ago, lost all that work. on top of that i made a small tweak to the program, reposted it and it fucked up a couple parts before i figured out what/how/why it did so. as the rest of it has been perfect till just now.
fucking cocksucking pieces of shit.
Just to be clear, (I'm not a Fusion 360 user), but what you are saying is the FILES that you had saved your new tweaked toolpaths to were over written ? ).
OR the newer update (File input redirection) selected an older file ?
OR the FILE you had has been read incorrectly by the new update, i.e. your newer version of Fusion read the wrong parts of some kind of in-file 'version control " ?
If you saved your work then the file should be somewhere or the "Tweaks" are still in larger marco type file structure but not correctly read by the latest version of Fusion 360.
Not very likely that a newer version of the software would randomly overwrite your file just for the hell of it ?
If you saved your work it's probably somewhere buried in a file, but not read correctly.
If you get an actual Autodesk engineer seems like they should be able to talk you through finding the original data/file structure that you created through your tweaked tool paths ? I don't know if they use a zipped binary version of XML type file for organizing complex data etc. ? If it's possible to send the files they might be able to dig in and find what's been lost and then provide a bug fix for the read (file) error in a few days etc.
This is an important enough bug/error that they should be concerned enough to try and fix it. [Sooner rather than later.]. If you get that far just remember when dealing with the "Computer" people to be very ice water through your veins, cool clinical and deliberate / neutral. 'cuz they are probably not gonna want to solve your particular problem of you are punching the keyboard and spiting at the screen lol. Your 'effed up parts are more of a concern though (Sorry you a re having trouble man) :-(

* Random note, ten or 15 years ago, pretty much with every 3d graphics and CAD and CAM based software that we would make sure we saved our work every ten or 15 minutes as crashes and system lock ups were not uncommon. Computers would crash at least once a day loosing work if you didn't save (and that was the same with really top drawer "Professional" platforms.).
