In Bobcad 29, I need to join two cylinders at a 90 degree angle. I need to trim the excess that comes through so it mates up at 45 degrees each. I have looked through all the tutorials and online to fine some idea how to trim them up to get a nice 90 angle from them. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I don't have BobCad, but I'm going to assume it has a "Split" command?
That would allow you to modify your existing geometry.

Set up a plane (or planar surface) at the junction of your cylinders. Split the cylinders and delete the excess.

My example has a plane at 45° about the Z axis to the ZX plane.

LOL Thanks

This video should help understand the workflow. If you have more questions you can always join the user forum.

That is the video Alex made for me in the Bobcad forum. LOL At least it is easily found.

Maybe you can answer this. Once that was done the two solid cylinders became hollow. How would I make them solid again?

Thanks,

Jeff
