A couple of years ago I tried a version of Deskcam to generate code (2 axis + Z) for a plate that had a bunch of differant size holes and shapes. At the time the version was ok but for my needs and schedule manual code generation sufficed.
Since then I had dl'd their most recent trial version but never tried it.
Today I had to generate code for a part that had a bunch of 1" square areas relieved to .125 below the surface. There were 45 of these areas. Not a hard progarming task but I figured I'd try the latest ver of Deskam.
It loaded easy, setup wasn't hard and it generated code that was accurate.(from a dxf that I generated from a cad program) I added a few lines for my G55 location, etc. and was done.
Not Mastercam but for the ease of use a bargain comapared to Bobcad.
Anyone using it?
Mike
