I know this is a long shot but does anyone have a HP 450 Designjet (that was working the last time you tried it) that you would sell?

If so give me a call 231-946-6832 Gary P. Hansen

I need a plotter with a RS232 port to plot from old obsolete computers.

Probably have to dig through that to eliminate the ones that only have parallel. Could you use a pen plotter ? Most of those had serial ports. More fun to watch :)

Also, a lot of Designjets can use an HP addin card for ethernet. Unless your computers are really old, ethernet should be a more sustainable method. Then you would have a lot more choices for plotter.

There's also serial to usb converters out there but I have not had success with them. If you found one that worked tho, you could use any usb plotter or printer that spoke hpgl.

I am not interested in a pen plotter they are even more obsolete than the HP 430 or 450. I had a Muto pen and pencil plotter long ago. I only used pencils in it because if a pencil ran out of lead it would go back and get a fresh one, if a pen ran out of ink it would continue plotting with an empty pen.
