Esprit SLOW 3D toolpath and full 5-Axis Rendering Times

Good day,

I work at a shop where we run Esprit software for all of our machines (Mill, Lathe, Wireburn).

I am currently working on an Mazak Variaxis I-800 Mill, and get some pretty complex parts to run thru this mill on a daily/weekly basis.

I feel like I'm getting hindered by slow tool path calculation times. Sometimes we are sitting here waiting upwards of 15 minutes for simple 3D tool paths to calculate and render... It gets worse when we are doing full 5-Axis 3D, or anything of that nature.

We are running top of the line computers and really should not be running into this issue. One thing that is a clear tell for me, that it is probably no the computer, is that I can still do other tasks on the computer while the tool path is calculating.

Is this normal for any of you Esprit users out there? I'd be curious to do a side by side comparison between Work NC 3D tool path calculation times, VS. Esprit...

Not to mention Esprit's roughing tool paths are horrendous (retracts everywhere).

Maybe were missing a setting somewhere or something?

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
